I mentioned in passing in my last post that I opened a new Etsy shop, but I want to go into a little more detail.
I have always loved ocean animals, especially jellyfish. I think they're beyond amazing and display a lot of my favorite characteristics of ocean-dwelling animals, like long tentacles, intelligence and reaction to light.
I wanted to find a way to make a jellyfish that was both colorful and elegant, and was inspired to make these jellyfish with clay hoods and fun string tentacles. This first batch was very colorful, as I was experimenting with variations.
This weekend, I'll be completing a custom set for a fellow Etsian and can't wait to share.
I hope to get more experienced with painting and work on more refined jellies as time goes on.
